RUN 4 EU
Run4Eu is a project for the mobility of athletes, volunteers, coaches, managers and staff of no-profit organisations. It is selected by European Commission under the Erasmus+Sport program.
The project includes a series of activities including a combination of meetings/workshops and a run that provides a pan-European event promoting sports and physical activity in small towns located in the peripheral areas of Europe.
The Lisbon Treaty Articles 6 and 165 assign to the Union tasks of support, coordination of the actions of the member states which shall be aimed at developing the European dimension in sport, by promoting fairness and openness in sporting competitions and cooperation between bodies responsible for sports, and by protecting the physical and moral integrity of sportsmen and sportswomen, especially the youngest sportsmen and sportswomen.
According to the Lisbon Teaty, Run4Eu is a RUN through and for EUROPE involving 4 European countries: Italy, Romania, Hungary and Slovenia.
4 Routes for 4 countries to meet people, places and cultures through sport!
There are 6 partners: the cities of Mioveni (R), Bacsalmas (H), Ivancna Gorica (Slo) and Gazzo (I)and 2 associations: Amici del Brenta from Piazzola sul Brenta (I) and Alda (Association of local democracy) from France.
The target group shall be represented by coaches, managers, amateur, athletes of sport clubs, city authorities, sport authorities, citizens of all ages and genders according to the principles of sport for all,
networks of sport clubs and of local governments.
